Me and Metals

This journey began in 1994, the year "Hum Aapke Hain Koun" starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit was released. At 16, I, Saheeram (Shyam) Bishnoi, left the government school in Gudamalani, a small town in Rajasthan near the Pakistan border. I arrived in Kumbharwada, Khetwadi, Gulalwadi – Mumbai 4, the heart of India's metal market. This is where my introduction to metals began. Mumbai's metal market is a bustling area with thousands of shops, warehouses, and offices stocked with sheets, plates, pipes, bars (round, hexagonal, square), circles, fasteners, and pipe fittings. Over the past 31 years, from 1994 to 2025, I've learned and understood a great deal about metals, materials, and mechanical hardware, which I will share with you. I hope this experience is useful.
